The Students
of class IV were taken for a short picnic to the Vrindavan
Garden AFS –I, on 22 January , 2010 under the guidance of
Mrs. Sanjubala, PRT. A direct experience was provided to the
children based on the chapters ‘Eating Together’ and ‘Food
and Fun’ from the EVS textbook. |

As stated
under common Minimum programme for qualitative improvement
of Primary Education, programmes that provide exposure to
the children should be undertaken. The short picnic served
this purpose where children observed park in its every
detail and learned different things like sharing and eating
together as they shared lunch with the teachers. This over
again reiterates that EVS learning primarily occurs outside
the walls of the classrooms. |

| The short
picnic was conducted with the kind permission of the
officiating Principal Mr. H.H. Lall, senior most PGT who
also joined the students in it. Dr. Hansha Sidhpura PRT also
escorted the students to the park. The teachers and the
students ate together, played and had lots of fun. |
